This week saw the debut of X-Factor #1, the latest volume of the classic X-Men spin-off title. With a roster consisting of Northstar, Polaris, Prestige, Daken, Prodigy, and Eye-Boy, it’s an unlikely line-up – but by halfway through its first issue, it had already established itself as one of Marvel’s most LGBTQ+ inclusive titles ever. https://bearworldmag.com/comics-corner-new-x-men-spin-off-x-factor-immediately-has-some-of-marvels-best-lgbtq-representation/

The NSW Government is strongly encouraging NSW citizens to wear a mask in high-risk settings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in NSW.

Wearing a face mask provides an additional physical barrier to protect the community and help reduce community transmission. Continue to practise physical distancing, wash your hands regularly and if you are unwell stay in and get tested.

With great sadness we pay tribute to our friend, DJ and bear brother Shane Kliese aka DJ Shanobear.

Shane has been a part of the bear community for many years, in Sydney as well as Melbourne and the wider bear community across Australia. He was a DJ for many of our events as well as our resident Bearaoke king.

Although we knew of Shane's battle with cancer this year, the loss still comes as a big shock. We will always remember the dancing, the fun, the singing and the laughter that we shared with him.

On behalf of myself and the Harbour City Bears Committee, we send a massive amount of love to his husband Charles and his family and if anyone needs any help we are here to assist in any way we can.

    Bear Hugs,
    Cameron Murray
    President - Harbour City Bears
