Newbie? We've all been there. Out of Towner? Specific Needs? Whatever your concern may be, drop us a message on Facebook so we can do our best to assist.
We're adding a second camping event to our year, and it's upgraded in every way!
Some of the camp sites are powered! And there's a cottage with 4 bedrooms available those who want a little more luxury. And we're keeping all the things you loved about the summer event and adding even more- it's now a 4-day weekend!
We've booked out Crooked Corner Cottage & Campsites, for an extra-long weekend, Thursday 1 August to Sunday 4 August.
The retreat has lots of space for us to spread out - over 100 acres! It also has a lake suitable for swimming, a tennis court, bushland for walking, and on-site accommodation.
The days are free for you to relax and explore the local area.
Thursday night we've got a BBQ and camp movie night, with BBQ dinner supplied, and a camp movie classic, follow by drinks and chats around the fire.
Friday night make your own dinner in the shared kitchen or BBQ, or head into town to one of the local pubs. After dinner, relax with a drink around the campfire, play some games, take advantage of the new moon to do some stargazing, or find out exactly what it is that bears do in the woods at night.
Saturday night after you've made your own dinner, we will have bear beats for us to enjoy, as well as other Saturday night activities that our previous attendees know and love- there's a dancefloor, a play area, and bears ready to go!
You can camp anywhere on the site, as near or far from other campers as you want. There's lots of areas available to camp, including some that are only accessible with a 4WD or by bushwalking.
Around the camp kitchen are plenty of spaces, but there are also some sloped areas, so if you want to be super close to the action, make sure you are ok camping on a slope. The campgrounds further afield have excellent flat areas, and lots of privacy and quiet.
The camp kitchen & meeting house has a few external powerpoints available to the campsites near the building. Perfect for bears with CPAPs! Note that these are quite limited, so if you already have a battery for your CPAP, please bring it to free up a powerpoint for another bear.
If you're not the camping type, but still want to come along for a great weekend away, the cottage also has separate bedrooms with king beds, each with their own external access.
The cottage has a bedroom with 4 bunk beds, for those who want a little more comfort, at a lower price.
Crooked Corner is about 3 hours drive from the city, and is about halfway between Goulburn and Bathurst. If you're a solo traveller or a newbie, join our Facebook Messenger chat room to organise a lift!
Everyone will need to bring:
In addition to that, If you're staying in a campsite, you'll also need:
If you're staying in a room, there are powerpoints available, however they aren't right next to the beds. You'll need a plugboard and extension cable for your CPAP machine.
If you're camping, there are powerpoints on the outside of the central camp building, as well as behind the rooms, and t so make sure you set your tent up nearby, and ensure you bring an extension cable long enough to run from there to your campsite.
The main site is reasonably accessible, it's mostly flat and has few steps. There are some slopes and hills. Further out on the property the ground can be quite uneven, with the trails connecting the sites being mini-bushwalks.
The movie night will be subtitled in English, however the subtitles may be dialog-only, not full SDH.

In the heart of the bustling spaceport, amidst the labyrinthine corridors and the whispers of secrets carried by the wind, is Pasha's Restaurant, a sanctum of culinary wonder.
Spice beckoned like a siren's call to those who craved the exquisite and the extraordinary. Within the venue’s venerable walls, the set menu is not merely a meal but an odyssey - a journey through flavours that echoed the rich, history of Sydney and the ancient lands of Türkiye. Each dish, a meticulously crafted symphony, conjured memories of sunlit bazaars, the scent of exotic spices lingering in the air, and the rhythmic cadence of belly dancing. Here, amidst the convergence of past and present, the essence of Istanbul was distilled into a singular, unforgettable experience, much like the elusive spice melange of Arrakis, promising both enlightenment and ecstasy to those who dared partake.
The set menu:
