If you’re looking for a way to use up some of that annual leave you’ve been accruing, come for a weekend out bush and spend some time catching up with your HCB mates you haven’t seen for ages. We’re kicking off our 2021 events again in a covid safe manner by doing it outdoors!
The camp grounds have hot showers and flushing toilets, but in all other aspects this is REAL camping! There are 2 caravans and a rustic house with 2 rooms available for those without tents, however these will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
The grounds are private as we're booking out the whole place!!!
You’ll need to bring:
Tent
Bedding or sleeping bag
An inflatable mattress/camp stretcher/something soft to sleep on
A towel + soap
Food / snacks for 2 days/nights
Esky + ice
Drinks/booze
Chair - there is no seating available onsite, don't forget your chair!
Bushman spray + sunscreen
Hat
*Temps are expected to get down to 12 degrees overnight. Please plan accordingly.
**mobile phone coverage is not available in this area.
*** Sites are unpowered. The fridges run off a generator that is switched off overnight.
Campsite registrations are available online as well as upon arrival, however if you feel sick (even just a little), please stay home to keep your bear brothers safe!!! Please contact info@hcbears.com.au if you need to cancel due to covid. All arrivals will be required to scan in via QR code, have a temperature check and register contact details. This is a requirement of current NSW covid regulations.
We do ask for your assistance in helping us comply with the NSW covid safety regulations below. Committee members/camp organisers may need to ask you to separate if necessary to maintain the distancing rules. Please note that aggression will not be tolerated.
Communal areas
One person per 2 square metres and appropriate physical distancing in communal areas where people gather such as BBQ and kitchen facilities.
Capertee falls into the "rural and regional" category of locations concerning Covid19 which means we are limited to 50 people for an outdoor gathering.
